The Beauty Junkee 9th Mega Anniversary Meet and Greet Experience

As The Beauty Junkee celebrates her 9th Mega Anniversary, she had a meet and greet for her readers. This meet and greet with workshops started when she was at her 7th or 8th blog anniversary but I only was able to attend this years meet and greet and workshop. Yes, I was one of the lucky 65 readers of her the was chosen to be a part of her big event.

The Beauty Junkee's 9th Blog Anniversary was BIG! She had a lot of sponsors like Zen Zest, V&M Naturals, Flormar, Wet and Wild, Pink Sugar, BYS, and so much more. The event took place at Aspace Manila in the Fort Strip last saturday, May 19, 2018. The event was a jampacked one because she also had guest speakers which are Kakki Teodoro, the owner of DietDiva, and Gert Libang from Gabriela. And of course, all of her 65 attendees brought home beauty bags that has 4k-6k worth of beauty cosmetics!

What she did was the 65 slots of her reader was chosen through a giveaway. It was a good thing because she didn't do it in a first come first serve basis but in the way that everyone has an equal chance of winning. 

The day of the M&G

The workshop and meet and greet will start at 1pm to 4pm. The location is at BGC, Taguig which is only 20-30 minutes away from our home with no traffic. Unfortunately, Grabph wasn't at its best that day so I had to hail a cab on my own but I arrived at exactly at 1pm and went to the registration. That is when I got my BDJ 2018 Planner and my snack box!

SNACK BOX

It has 4 snacks inside that can solve my hunger while listening and learning from the workshops. And also the event place, A Space Manila, they have free coffee and water for the guests. The workshop never went boring because the guests can roam around the area to get coffee, take flatlay photos, and eat snacks.

BDJ 2018 PLANNER 

This is the planner that I've been wanting to get since the year started but I thought that its a bit pricey for a planner. But when I got the planner from the event, I am really inlove with the contents of it! From the motivational quotes to the pages that can help me manage other stuff like money and menstrual tracker. And it already has the Perks of a Bella booklet that has your card that can access discounts and freebies from different restaurants, cafes, leisure, etc. There are also coupons inside the booklet from Ace Water Spa, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Fitness Gourmet, Flawless, Browhaus and many more.

Workshops and Talks

Eyeshadow Techniques Workshop

This is the first workshop that she did on that event. I learned many techniques such as the parts of the eyes and how I will apply eyeshadow to it. Also, she taught us what colors that we should use on the certain eye parts. And she gave a lot of suggestions with the best eyeshadow palettes and brushes for her!

 Time Management by Kakki Teodoro

This is the most helpful talk that I've ever heard in my life. Kakki makes me feel motivated, her life stories and her tips. I like how she talked about how you should handle things and turning your passion into your living. She tackled about her theater passion and her business, DietDiva. I learned so much from her and enjoyed the way she communicated with the guests.

Girl Power by Gert Libang of Gabriela

 This is the first time that I attended a talk that is so wholesome. It has workshop about makeup, talks about women empowerment, and time management. Awesome, right? With Ms. Gert's talk, I felt more empowered and stronger because she discussed the laws the protects women from discrimination. And I think, this kind of talk is what young ladies should listen to.

Billion Dollar Brows Workshop

This hella tickles my curiousity about why is this named liked that. Martha, the Beauty Junkee, said that if she gets a dollar everytime a person tells her that her brows look good, she could be a billionaire by now. She taught the attendees the brow mapping, the one that Benefit does, and told us that brows should be groomed too. She also suggested a lot of brow products like Benefit's Brow Zings, Anastasia Pomade, K-palette, and many more.

Detail Make Brow Review 😜

When I started doing my brows, I only use a retractable pencil because it can give a natural look for my brows which what I want to wear for casual days. I've been wanting to try other kinds of brow products like pomade, gel, powder, etc. So, I bought this Make Brow By Detail for 245php at Beautymnl.com. Here is what it looks like: (spoliee not included, it was a spoliee from my elf retractable pencil) My first impression when I swatched it is the pigmentation of the powder and I love that this palette goes with a light brown and dark brown shades plus a highlighter. And guys, little goes a long way! 😜 In the photo above, I only used the dark brown and I just blended it to make it not look like I put too much. I love this makebrow eyebrow palette because everytime I use this my brows are just on fleek. I think this is perfect for people that go to parties, because it can't be remove easily and you can set it with a clear brow gel. I would rate this product 9/...

NEW MAKEUP - FLORMAR HAUL

This is another makeup brand that was included in my beauty bag from TBJ's 9th Anniversary event. I haven't really heard much about this brand until I knew that it was a sponsor to that event and I also never knew that this much makeup from this brand will be included in my beauty bag. So, again, thank you TBJ! Here is all the Flormar makeup that I got: It has 1 mascara, 1 eyebrow fixator mascara, 1 illuminating primer sampler, 1 deluxe cashmere lipstick stylo, 1 perfection primer, 1 liquid concealer, 1 mat touch foundation, 1 extreme matte lipstick, and 1 lipstick.
